Let's explores what's going on when African American ingenuity and drive meets with good success; and the ways our growth is stunted in the face of intentional "Opportunity gaps" that spark pushback & upheavals?
Our culturally relevant lens helps identify disparities,
causal patterns, and prolonged effects of lack in order to better understand how to navigate from stagnation to well-being, to self-sufficiency and wellness
with increased self-efficacy
--then measure our impacts.
Today, African Americans still have to navigate life
under the weight of systemic racism as well as social, political, and health disparities.
About 2/3 of Black adults at every income level say the economic system intentionally holds Black people back. (2024, Pew)
Much of it has manifested as what
Rev. Cecil "Chip" Murray called the “4 P’s”
Poverty of Pocket, Poverty of Family,
Poverty of Education, Poverty of Purpose
(unrealized or hindered).
“When the people hurt by disparities
know about the root causes and possibilities, and opportunities to change them, the more likely they are to help rectify the situation.” (Policy Link, Why Place & Race Matter, 2011).

We are Winners! Why else would they want to ban books about us?
Together, let’s take pride in setting up the
local community-centered projects of our choice to work on
our Key Concerns–to stregthen & repair our Village.
The African American experience in America, for too many, consists of a variety of negative circumstances & options (pitfalls)—not all of our own making. Instead of getting ample scholarships and jobs, our communities were given guns and drugs interrupting our forward & upward progress; thus, numerous disparities still exist.
Let's face it, it has not been easy. Trauma is our emotional response to stressful or dangerous events. This stress can cause long-term effects on a person's physical, social, emotional, or spiritual well-being. It is caused by a single event or a series of events, can happen at any age.and it effects every person differently,
Bottomline: we have to courageously get back to intentionally creating space for African Americans to recover and define our own path--seeking life, liberty, hope, peace, joy and happiness.
Wellness moves us up the pyramid--
from struggling for 'basic needs' upward
toward 'self-fulfillment'--thriving.
What does ‘freedom’ look like for us?
Together, Let’s intentionally works along side the community to
help create what they want & need--trauma sensitive,
safe place, safe space, community-centered culturally affirming engagement opportunities to reduce the barriers to
our recovery, healing, learning, and growth.
So, What's Your Great Idea? & How Can We HelpYOU Help You?

Will you join in to make the difference?

While there is no magic wand, Let’s is convinced African American communities deserve an opportunity to use their collective ingenuity and desire to thrive, to foster innovative win-win experiences for themselves.
It is right “for such a time as this.”
